Monday Mom Moments!

Lukas 2

This boy- he is my baby, my youngest, the sweetest boy I know.

He is always full of joy and spunk- making us laugh and keeping us on our toes.

This past weekend, this sweet boy got sick- really sick.

The kind of sick that makes your mama heart hurt.

He was so sad and felt so bad and all he wanted was to snuggle in my arms and rest.

So that is how we spent the weekend- and other than the fact that I really wanted him to feel better, I didn’t mind a bit!!

But as I laid on my bed, snuggling my little boy, inhaling the sweet smell of baby, I couldn’t help but think about these sweet faces:

Orphaned by no fault of their own- waiting to find their families.

Who holds them when they are sick, where do they rest their weary heads?

What arms do they seek for comfort when they hurt?

Who inhales their sweetness, breathing deep the love that lives there?

These sweet boys wait, and I despair.

I wish I could go, claim them as my own, make them sons and not orphans.

But God!– the One who gave them life- He knows them.

He holds them.

He comforts them.

He loves them.

He has purposed families for each of them.

He calls them sons.

He calls them His own.

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.  John 14v18

All these boys plus many more children are available for adoption- click the name link under each picture or visit Reece’s Rainbow for more information!

  • It’s hard for me as an adoptive parent to see any picture of any child without family and not think to myself. We need to adopt more kids. We can do it. Nobody should be without family. No child should wait. My sweet moment was this morning. My sweet girl (10) walked back to the van after I dropped her at school bust stop and she leaned in and said I love you. Good luck on all your posts today. Sweet!

  • Awww…so many sweet faces. My husband and I have 3 children together, but I’ve always told him that I’d like to adopt – there are just too many kids out there that need love. And one day if we can support another (mentally, emotionally, financially, etc) we definitely will!

My younger daughters 3rd birthday party was this weekend, so we had tons of sweet moments (I even got a couple on my camera!).

  • It is SO hard to think about sweet babies who don’t have a Mom to hold them when they’re sick… or even when they’re well and super happy and just need a hug! Thank YOU for sharing this post and hopefully helping to find these sweet babies a family.

  • This nearly brought tears to my eyes as I wondered who cuddles those poor little ones without mamas. I had a rough parenting weekend, just a grump and this post was a nice reminder of how lucky I am.

  • I felt so sad with those babies who are waiting for their new families. I couldn’t imagine the tough times they may feel when they get sick, they will be longing for a loving arms to cuddle and take care of them.

  • That breaks my heart. I wish that I could take them all in and give them a home. I just pray that God will protect these children and the many others around the world without a family.

  • Amazing blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download
it from somewhere? A theme like yours with a few simple adjustements
would really make my blog jump out. Please let me know where you got
    your theme. Appreciate it
