Monday Mom Moments!

homeschooling

I love that we homeschool!

It’s moments like these that make all the planning and stress so worth it.

These moments don’t happen as often as I would like- everyone quietly engaged in their work.

I think it lasted 42 seconds- but it was a moment!!

Then I think of these sweet ladies-

And I wonder how many moments have they been waiting to be chosen?

Most of them have seen siblings and friends find families.

Many of them have seen more loss than we can imagine.

All of them have very manageable needs-

are bright, funny, capable.

They just need someone to choose them.

And for all of them time is running out.

While birthdays for us are a time of celebration-

for them it marks one year closer to be an orphan forever.

At 14- they are no longer adoptable- ever.

Most will live out their lives in group homes or mental institutions.

They have so much to offer- but they must be chosen.

I am so thankful that they have One who already chooses them.

He is their promise of a future-

“I will never leave you or forsake you”  Hebrews 13v5

All of these beautiful young ladies plus many more children are available for adoption- click the name link under each picture or visit Reece’s Rainbow for more information.

Did you have a sweet Mom moment this weekend?  We’d love to hear about it- feel free to share it or link to it in the comments!!

  1. I’ve visited the Reece’s Rainbow site a few times. It breaks my heart. It seems unfair that any child should have to endure the burden they have that most people don’t experience in a lifetime. I have 4 children myself. Sometimes I think if a financial good fortune would come my way, I’d talk to my husband about adoption. I’ve donated to the site several times to help children get adopted. It’s what I can do for now

  2. Ha, those peaceful moments don’t always last long. I love it when my two have a nice moment of sharing.
